Beautiful lake. Cabin is so close to water. As mentioned in many reviews Sue and Mike are THEE best hosts. Prices are so reasonable and you get a boat! Love cabin #1. Just arrived today but couldn't wait to post review. Ideal for families. Beautiful scenery!! Thanks to Sue and Mike.
I can honestly say that this place is one of the most magnificent places on earth. My dad and uncles helped build the original cabins. My grandfather was the original owner of the Brotherton Resort which is now Pavlica's South Shore Resort. I am so very happy to see that it still looks absolutely breathtaking. My Uncle Hugh ran the resort for as long as I can remember and we spent many summers growing up there. If you are fortunate enough to spend any time there, you will not be disappointed.
Great place to stay in the Curtis area. The cabins are very clean and well kept. This isn't a 5-star resort so don't expect anything fancy. Just fine though as in my opinion the best 'up north' resorts are still stuck a little back in time. Sue Pavlica is a gem of a lady and extremely helpful and caring!
Spent a lovely week there, Sue and Mike are wonderful and so accommodating! With a great knowledge of the area, with loads of hints and suggestions to do with the lake , restaurants,casino, sites to see. We'll be back!
Just finished another awesome vacation at Pavlica‘s. Can’t imagine a year without fishing and fun with Sue and Mike. Unbelievable owners that make you feel like family. Very attentive and caring hosts. I would highly recommend this quiet little piece of heaven to any family just wanting to unplug from the rest of the world. Absolutely love it!!! We had an absolutely wonderful experience! The cabins were great and furnished with exactly what we needed. Although August is not supposed to be the best time to fish we absolutely creamed the crappie. Made for a great fish fry. The fish cleaning station is wonderful. Mike and Sue are awesome hosts!! I highly recommend their operation.
We stayed in the cabin is not on the lake, #6. It was roomy enough for our family of 5. It was very clean! For being in the woods and on the lake, there were no cobwebs inside or out! The bathroom was huge. The kitchen had everything we needed, even real dishes and silverware. We rented the pontoon boat for the week, which was also spotless. The lake was great for fishing. Even our young kids cought fish nearly every time we went out. There was a bald eagle flying around that we saw almost daily! Sue was super friendly and visited everyday and was very welcoming. The only con was the mattresses. They are very old and you can trace the springs with your hands. And it would be nice to have bunk beds in the second room.
We just spent another lovely week at Pavlica's South Shore. We enjoy our time so much we always hate leaving. It is so peaceful and beautiful and just seems to slow everything down for us. And our hosts Mike and Sue were wonderful.
